      Zungah Safaris     "Wingshooting" Back

Join the " Last Frontier Expedtions" on a journey of exploration in the East Cape. With our intimate knowledge of the region you can enjoy one of the following exciting tours:

The Eastern Cape boasts sustainable natural populations of one of the finest upland gamebirds in the world, the greywing francolin. From the first explosive flush you'll be hooked on the adrenaline rush, that birds, vast mountain grasslands and stylish, steady pointers give the serious wingshooter.

We'll hunt guinea fowl and francolin in the thick thorn brush and waylay vast numbers of doves and pigeons coming in to feed in the grain lands.

Geese, including the monstrous spurwing goose and various species of ducks will be shot over decoys in agricultural and wetlands.

To add to your pleasure you'll be shooting over shorthairs, pointers, setters and Brittany spaniels. All adult dogs have been placed or won certificates in field trials and work according to the highest standards required of birddogs.

For an afternoons entertainment we can hawk some game birds with either black sparrow hawks or falcons.

So if you're a serious wingshooter who enjoys good hunting and good dogs, hunt with us, you won't be disappointed.

Hi all from South Africa:

Some interesting and exciting news for our wing shooting clients from the USA:

Arnold Slabbert's (Hemingway Safaris "in country South Africa" hunting guide) German Shorthaired pointers "Flight" and "Storm" have taken the 2005 South African field trial circuit's number one and three slots respectively. Flight took the 2005 number one slot in fine style by finishing the last field trial of the year as top dog. She is the only shorthair ever to have been placed in the top 3 places in the championship stakes in every single field trial entered in a year. "Flight" is now eligible to compete in the world champs. "Storm" at 14 months is the youngest shorthair ever to reach the national number 3 slot in a year. Arnold is also the top handler for 2005 with a new record of 14 awards in a single year.

See you soon with Bob Walz on a wing-shooting safari!
