Last Frontier Expeditions is proud to
provide The Caribbean
Nature Conservancy to the Republic of Cuba.
Our philosophy remains the same: to
enable our guests to immerse themselves in Cuba; to learn to
enjoy and appreciate the Cuban people, culture, flora &
fauna and delicate balance necessary for their
coexistence.
We are committed to environmentally sound trips. And, we
use small, classic, lodges and hotels which will best benefit
the local communities. Our groups emphasize low impact
(exciting transportation alternatives whenever possible) trips
following Cuba's strict and sensible ecologically sensitive
guidelines.
An Inn-to-Inn, Hiking, Biking, Snorkeling
and Horseback Riding Eco-Adventure
Cuba is a land of
rainforest-covered mountains, breathtakingly beautiful
beaches, exotic flora and fauna, and a vibrant culture of
thoroughly warm, hospitable people. Take a step back in time
and discover this land of great variety on our new Cuba
Multi-Sport adventure, an all-inclusive program which
satisfies US-Cuba travel requirements and combines pristine
coastline, coral cayes, karst caves, and cloud forests with
hiking, biking, horseback riding, and snorkeling.
The World Outdoors’ guide and a local
Cuban guide will introduce you to their favorite haunts and
hideaways in a country that is distinctively different from
all of its neighbors.
Witnessing the rich artistic heritage, festive
atmosphere and vibrant nightlife are all aspects of any visit
to Cuba, and with free time in Havana and Trinidad, you will
have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local
culture.
This moderately easy trip has been
created with plenty of flexibility to accommodate a wide range
of individual interests and abilities, and is intended for
those interested in being active 4 to 6 hours a
day.

March 2008- Cuba's Adventure Race and
Eco-Challenge. " A week of low impact" but exciting and
informative activities to showcase some of Cuba's most
beautiful and environmentally perfect natural wonders. Cycling
relays through the Escambray Mountains on "no speed" Chinese
Pigeon bicycles; Ocean canoeing in primitive boats off the
South coast near Trinidad and Cienfuegos; A 3 KM relay race to
the original Bay of Pigs invasion site and 10K world class
road race along the coast where the invasion took place 40
years ago.
April 2008- "Cuban Birding Safaris." This
photographic, birding and Eco Challenge will be a historical
and "worlds first" event. Guests will actually search through
the biosphere's and jungles of Cuba in search of this long
thought "extinct" bird. In fact, recent sightings of this wood
pecker have been documented by both Cuban and USA birding
authorities.
June 2008- " United Nation's World Environment
and Ecotourism Expedition." As cosponsors of this important
international event, we welcome you to join us for a week of
seminars and "in the field" activities. One important feature
of this conference is to showcase Cuba's excellent and
progressive reputation for natural medicines and treatments.
Besides the above expeditions & safaris, we also offer
individual and small group tours to include: trekking,
rafting, cycling, birding, horseback trips; jeep excursions,
scuba, reef study, and biosphere research.
