The oftentimes negative statements from our government and the media about Cuba has left many of us with the false impression that Cuba is unsafe. Few places in the world are as safe for visitors as Cuba. Most visitors are far less likely to run into problems in Cuba than they are in their own cities and towns. Cubans are very honest and friendly towards foreign guests and each other.
