"We welcome you to join us for this very
exciting and historic scuba adventure in the nearly unexplored
waters off the Cuban coast. This opportunity will be very
limited so please sign up early. The symposium will be hosted
by Deborah Andollo (Multiple record holder of deep diving
records) and Dr. Pedro M. Alcolado (Research Director of the
Cuban Institute of Oceanography) and Last Frontier Expeditions
“Undersea and Reef Study Foundation”. The official language
will be Spanish with English translators available. But,
almost all of the participants and hosts will speak English.

Program
September 13 Depart Cancun,
Mexico for Havana at 7:30 PM PM via Aerocaribe (Mexicana)
Airlines. It is only a 45 minute flight but you lose one hour
due to time zone change. Private Transfer to the legendary,
five star, Hotel Nacional De Cuba or the classic, ocean front
Hotel Copacabana. Check in followed by a welcome cocktail and
cigar reception.
September 14 Breakfast.
Morning two-tank dive option at the private Club Havana dive
center. Alternate activities available. Afternoon: Lobster
lunch at Hemingway’s ”favorite haunt,” Restaurante El
Floridita. (Where the Daiquiri was invented.) followed by a
City of Havana tour which includes a private tour of the
Partagas Cigar factory followed by a cigar and cocktail
reception in our new “Partagas Club Salon” with Partagas
President, Sr. Abel Diaz. Dinner at Havana’s most popular
Restaurante El Aljibe. Evening open.
September 15
Breakfast. Depart by
air for Santiago De Cuba. Transfer to the Hotel Casa Grande
(featured in Graham Greene’s movie “Our Man in Havana) or the
Hotel Santiago De Cuba. Meet our Cuban hosts. Dinner at the
Hotel.
September 16
Breakfast. Morning talks by Cuban diving and oceanography
experts. Lunch. Afternoon two-tank dive session. Dinner and
underwater photography class and exhibition.
September 17 Breakfast. Morning talks by Cuban diving and
oceanography experts. Lunch. Afternoon two-tank dive session.
Closing dinner and photo competition
finals.
September 18 Breakfast. Depart by air
to Cayo Las Brujas. Definitely my favorite place in all of
Cuba and the Caribbean. Cayo Las Brujas is an incomparable,
nearly unspoiled, aquatic paradise 44 KM off the North Coast
of Santa Clara Province (North coast of Cuba). Las Brujas
Lodge has 20, five star, ocean front cabins with staff. World
class fishing & diving (wrecks), snorkeling, birding
(World’s largest Flamingo preserve), riding mopeds to other
keys, wind surfing, kayaking or sitting on the nearly deserted
7 mile beach. All meals at the lodge. The staff will gladly
cook your day's catch. Afternoon dive session. All meals
at the lodge.
September 19
Breakfast. Two-tank dive
session will be available or alternate
activities.
September
20 Breakfast. Depart for Havana. Check into the hotel.
Farewell pool side
BBQ.
September 21 Breakfast.
Depart for Cancun, Mexico at 8:00 AM. End
of services!
